Our Collection of training programs
As part of our ongoing research into the highest quality of learning, we have created a series of programs on the topic of Coding in Java. These programs are grouped into 3 levels. Please see a short description of each level below.
Level 1
Designed for learners with no previous coding background, this level takes you through the basics of Java coding up until the point where you can confidently create methods in a class. It covers the GR10 IEB practical curriculum, which is designed with 16 year olds in mind in South African private schools.
Level 2
After mastering the basics of Java coding in Level 1, this level expands your abilities up until the point where you can create object classes, populate arrays of object by scanning a text file and finally creating a list of commonly used algorithms. It covers the GR11 IEB practical curriculum, which is designed with 17 year olds in mind in South African private schools.
Level 3
This final level equips you with an understanding of inheritance, finally culminating in training to write an exam similar to the IEB National Senior Certificate exam of South Africa. It covers the GR12 IEB practical curriculum, which is designed with 18 year olds in mind in South African private schools.

At Stella Logos we are designing training courses according to the 3 distinct learning pathways mentioned. Each pathway will be based on the Facilitating Learning Pedagogy but still have a distinct focus.
